Choosing block grabs for the application
Block grabs are selected around the material being handled, its dimensions, weight and surface condition. A suitable grab needs the right gripping range and connection arrangement for the load and the lifting equipment being used.
Load details
Provide the block or pack weight, dimensions and material so the required gripping range can be reviewed.
Contact surfaces
Surface finish, shape and the way the load can be gripped affect product suitability.
Lifting arrangement
Include the proposed connection to the crane, hoist or lifting accessory and the available headroom.

What do you need to quote a block grab?
Send the load weight, dimensions, material, quantity and photographs or drawings where possible. Include the lifting arrangement and delivery postcode.
Can a block grab be selected by capacity alone?
No. Capacity is only one part of selection. The gripping range, load shape, contact surfaces and complete lifting arrangement also need to suit the application.
