Selection & enquiry guidance

Choosing Steerman load moving systems for the application

Load moving systems are selected around the machinery weight, support points, floor condition, travel route and turning space. Planning the route is as important as selecting the nominal capacity of the moving equipment.

Load and support points

Provide the machine weight, footprint and the points where the load can safely be supported.

Route and floor

Send photographs or details of the floor, gradients, thresholds and any changes in level.

Turning and access

Include the available turning space, doorways and the path from the starting point to the final position.

Common questions

Steerman load moving systems enquiries

What details are needed for a machinery moving system quotation?

Send the machinery weight and dimensions, support points, route photographs, floor condition and required movement distance.

Why does the travel route matter when selecting load moving skates?

Capacity alone does not describe the job. Floor condition, thresholds, gradients, turning space and access all affect the moving arrangement.

Need help specifying the requirement?

Send the application details you have and the Durham Lifting team can review what is needed for a quotation.
